Easy and Fun Halloween Looks

By: Sahar Khan

Need a last-minute costume idea? You don’t have to be an MUA to have these looks for Halloween! Take it from me (not an MUA), these looks are super fun and easy to do.

1. Cleopatra

Cleopatra was the ruler and queen of Egypt during the first century B.C. She remains one of the most famous female rulers in history. She inspires many unique costume interpretations this time of year with her signature bold eyeshadow and eyeliner look as well as her royal attire.

My look included a bold winged liner, sparkly gold eyeshadow, and tints of turquoise below the liner and in my waterline. I also included a burnt orange at the top of the lid. For the lips, I took a dark brown and added some sparkle lipgloss to top it off.

Oh - and don’t forget the falsies!

2. Werewolf

For this look, I switched it up and created something a little on the darker side. I channeled my inner She Wolf (shoutout to Shakira!), and transformed myself into a creature of the night.

Using dark brown eyeshadows, I had fun with attempting to create fake fur on my forehead, cheeks, and eyebrows. You can use black liner or the same dark brown eyeshadow for the eyes, and elongate the wing to your eyebrow bone. Use the same eyeliner or eyeshadow at the bottom of your eye, leaving your inner corners open. For lips, I just used a dark brown lipstick.

Side note, I didn’t do this, but I would also recommend getting coloured contacts to complete a scarier werewolf look!

3. Luna (Sailor Moon)

This look calls for lots of sparkle and highlighter!

My childhood dream was to be a part of the Sailor Moon squad, so I decided for this look I’d become Luna from Sailor Moon, but in human form.

For this I mixed purple and pink eyeshadows on my forehead and eyelids. With black liquid eyeliner, I created the signature Luna crescent moon, and topped it off with a gold jewel. For lips, I mixed a purple and pink, creating a fuschia colour.

Don’t forget to add highlighter all-over to complete this look.
